Journey Church was founded in 1992 by a group of dedicated people and was located on North Sherwood Forrest.  After  many years of growth the decision was made to purchase 9.5 acres in the newly formed City of Central and build new facilities.  We occupied our current buiding in April 2008 and have witnessed unprecedented growth as new families are partnering with us on a weekly basis.  This  journey called life is so exciting we believe it should never be made alone but connected to Christ and surrounded by others.

Our Pastors

Jay and Stacey Coleman began their ministry as children’s pastors in Lafayette.  After 8 years as associates they moved to Baton Rouge to Pastor Journey Church.  Originally from Pineville, Louisiana they met at a nursing home (believe it or not!) and have been married since 1992.  They enjoy their greatest ministry of all which is raising their three sons: Tyler, Bryce, and Reece.
